İdman.Biz reports with reference to prosport.az that he has been appointed as a specialist in the Department of Work with Representative Offices at the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation.
The 35-year-old veteran athlete told our website about this:
"I have started working in the Department of Work with Representative Offices at the Wrestling Federation since January 26.
I express my deep gratitude to the leadership of the Wrestling Federation for the high confidence shown in my appointment to this responsible and honorable position. I will responsibly and conscientiously fulfill my duties to ensure the sustainable development of wrestling in our country and further strengthen its prestige in the international arena".
He also stated what his job would consist of: "My job will be related to the development of children's and youth wrestling throughout the country. I will take steps to work with Children and Youth Sports Schools in the regions and provide practical assistance to the work of wrestling clubs".
It should be noted that the Wrestling Federation has previously provided jobs for veteran athletes who have completed their careers. Thus, Maria Stadnik was appointed as a curator for women's, Haji Aliyev for freestyle, and Rafig Huseynov for Greco-Roman wrestling.
