The "Nejad Hashemi Cup" freestyle wrestling tournament has started in Behshahr, Iran.
Idman.biz reports that the winners in the 57, 65, 74, 86 and 97 kg weight categories were determined on the first day of the competition.
Wrestlers of the Azerbaijani national team under 20 also stood out. On the first day of the traditional tournament, in which athletes from 7 countries competed, 2 of our representatives climbed the podium.
Omar Gulmammadov (74 kg) won a silver medal, and Sadraddin Hasanov (57 kg) won a bronze medal. Vasif Bagirov, Huseyn Huseynov (both 57 kg) and Muhammad Abbaszadeh (86 kg) finished fifth.
It should be noted that today the medalists in 61, 70, 79, 92 and 125 kg will be known.
