The opening of new wrestling halls in the regions has become intensive.
Idman.biz reports that Goychay is one of the regions where this sport has gained popularity in recent years. 3 wrestling halls have been opened in the Central Aran region.
The opening ceremony was attended by Nasimi Musayev, Secretary General of the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation (AGF), Namet Shirinov, Director of Goychay UGIM, Asif Shireliyev, I-S degree judge, Natiq Hajiyev, I degree judge, representatives of the Central Aran Regional Youth and Sports Department and other people.
A hall for both Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling has started operating in Goychay. 70 teenagers and young people are involved in training under the leadership of Honored Coaches Namet Shirinov and Kamran Bakhishov, as well as coaches Akbar Mammadli and Jalal Miriyev, in the Greco-Roman wrestling hall located on Haji Zeynalabdin Tagiyev Street. In the freestyle wrestling hall located on Heydar Aliyev Avenue, 80 athletes regularly participate in the training process under the leadership of coaches Niyazi Ahmadov, Kamran Nuriyev and Joshgun Asgarli.
The sports hall of school No. 1 in the village of Bighir in the district has also been given to the wrestlers. Honored coaches Namet Shirinov, Kamran Bakhishov, coaches Khamran Seyidov, Akbar Mammadli and Jalal Miriyev conduct Greco-Roman wrestling training. More than 130 teenagers and young people master the secrets of wrestling in this sports center.
Training is free of charge in all 3 wrestling halls provided with inventory by AGF. This is the main reason for increasing mass participation in the region.
It should be noted that measures to improve wrestling infrastructure in the regions will continue.
