Haji Aliyev, a 3-time world and 4-time European champion in freestyle wrestling, a 2-time Olympic medalist, a member of the Athletes' Commission, and the freestyle wrestling coordinator of the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation, was a guest of the "At School..." project.
Idman.Biz reports that this meeting of the project, implemented by the Baku City Education Department, was held at secondary school No. 47 in the capital.
Haji Aliyev, who visited the school on the eve of March 5 - Physical Education and Sports Day, met with students in the school's gym. The guest had a sincere conversation with the students and observed the training process of students in various sports.
H. Aliyev spoke about the promotion of a healthy lifestyle, the role of sports in the physical and spiritual development of young people, the responsibility of being a professional athlete and the path to success. The freestyle wrestler shared his experience gained during his sports career with the students, talked about the importance of purposeful work and discipline, and the importance of developing education and sports in parallel.
Talking about his achievements, Haji Aliyev said that every achievement is the result of many years of hard work, and the greatest pride for an athlete is to see the Azerbaijani flag at the top as a result of that hard work. The guest also gave advice to students on the importance of staying away from harmful habits and making healthy choices, and answered their questions.
The main goal of the "At School..." project is to increase students' respect for moral values and interest in reading, to promote the proper management of time, to eliminate addiction to social networks and to promote ways to use existing opportunities effectively.
