Famous Azerbaijani athlete, four-time world champion in Greco-Roman wrestling, Eldaniz Azizli, who announced the end of his career in September of this year and later decided to return to big sport, will start active training from the first days of the new year.
The titled Azerbaijani himself announced this in his statement to Idman.Biz.
According to Eldaniz Azizli, he made the decision to end his career after the World Championship in September in an emotional state.
"After the World Championship in Zagreb, I decided to leave the sport because I took third place there and could not become a five-time world champion. It was very difficult for me and it was an emotionally made decision. As time went on, I realized that I cannot live without wrestling. Moreover, the goal of becoming a five-time world champion does not give me peace until I reach it (laughs). That is why I decided to start active training from the first days of the coming year. Throughout my career, I have always tried to perform at the maximum level and I want to finish it that way. I hope I will achieve this in the new year," said Eldaniz Azizli.
