The ranking series tournament started today in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.
Idman.biz reports that the first freestyle wrestlers started the fight in the last ranking competition of the year.
Two of our athletes qualified for the final of the tournament. Both of our wrestlers finished the day with a silver medal.

Islam Bazarqanov defeated Belarusian Aryan Tsiutrin (5:2), Kazakhstani Adilet Almukhamedov (10:2) and Georgian Roberti Dingashvili (5:2) to reach the final. Islam faced American Luke Lilledahl in the final. The meeting ended with our wrestler losing 1:3, and he took second place on the podium.

Ali Rahimzade eliminated Georgian Goderdzi Cebisashvili (3:1), Kazakhstani Sherkhan Abil (11:0) and Bahraini Alibeg Alibegov (9:2). Our athlete, who reached the final, wrestled with Sujeet Sujeet (India). Ali, who lost 1:5, won the silver medal.

Kanan Heybatov lost to Iranian Abbas Ibrahimzade Savadkhui 4:9 in the qualifying stage.
Giorgi Meshvildishvili (125 kg) did not participate in the competition due to injury.
