Azerbaijani freestyle wrestlers Kenan Heybatov and Khetag Karsanov finished the U-23 World Championships in Novi Sad, Serbia with medals.
"Report" reports with reference to the press service of the Wrestling Federation that K. Heybatov (70 kg) faced Iranian Sina Khalili in the final.
Although the opponent was superior in the first half, our compatriot won a tenacious victory. Kenan, who defeated his opponent with a score of 9:4, won the title of world champion for the first time.
X. Karsanov (125 kg) also faced an Iranian representative in the final. However, the national team member, who started performing in the heaviest weight category this year, lost to Abolfazl Nejad (0:11) and won a silver medal.
