Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has reacted to the club's decision not to extend his contract, which expires at the end of the season.
QOL.az reports that the Belgian footballer, speaking to The Sun, said:
"It was a bit of a shock. I didn't receive any offers from them all year and the club made their decision. Of course, I was a bit surprised, but I had to come to terms with it. To be honest, I still think I can perform well, but I understand that clubs have to make decisions."
It is worth recalling that on April 4, the 33-year-old midfielder announced that he would leave Manchester City due to the expiration of his contract at the end of the season. On April 6, Manchester City coach Josep Guardiola stated that the decision for De Bruyne to leave belonged to the club, not the player.
