The new year starts differently in various sports: some immediately go to competitions, others are involved in the preparation process, while for others, changes simply occur.
Idman.Biz contacted Seymur Huseynov, the Secretary General of the Azerbaijan Triathlon Federation (ATF), to find out the situation in the ATF and whether there are athletes in our country who can compete internationally.
The federation official emphasized that our triathletes are planning to participate in several international competitions this year.
"We will finalize the competition calendar in the coming days and will definitely inform you about it. As for the competitiveness of our athletes, I hope that we have formed a new generation that can reach the international level in the coming years. Because this year we parted ways with all foreign athletes and gave preference to local personnel. They are currently being trained by foreign experts. I believe that under their leadership, our athletes will reach a new level and delight us with successful performances," said Seymur Huseynov.
