The Azerbaijan Taekwondo Championship was held at the Sports and Health Club of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES SHC).
İdman.Biz, referring to shimal.news.az, reports that the Quba team participated in the competition with six athletes and achieved successful results.
Quba taekwondo athletes won three medals in the youth competitions. Alimurad Rzayev, competing in the 45 kg weight category, won a silver medal, Maryam Jafarova, competing in the 44 kg category, won a bronze medal, and Humay Dadashova won a gold medal.
Quba athletes also rose to the podium in the adult category. Khanlar Khanahmadov won a silver medal in the 80 kg weight category. Sayyad Dadashov, competing in the 54 kg category, defeated all his opponents and won a gold medal.
It should be noted that Sayyad Dadashov has become the champion of Azerbaijan for the 9th time with this result.
The coach of the Quba team is Tural Valibeyov, a master of sports and honored coach.
