The Azerbaijan Championship, bringing together various strength sports, has been held in Baku.
İdman.Biz reports that within the framework of the competition, athletes demonstrated their skills in strongman, strict curl and streetlifting.
In the strongman competition, Ali Aliyev, representing Ganja, set a national record by performing with a result of 161 kg.
High results were also recorded in the deadlift movement. Kamran Lazimov (95 kg) lifted 350 kg and renewed the national record.
At the same time, Vadim Zelenov (70 kg) set a new Azerbaijani record by showing a result of 110 kg in the log lift movement.
It should be noted that, according to the results of the competition, winners in various weight categories have also been determined. Kamal Mammadli became the champion in the 75 kg weight category, and was also awarded the title of absolute champion. In other weight categories, Jalil Aliyev (110 kg), Nijat Huseynov (100 kg), Sultan Sultanov (90 kg), Sadiq Musayev (82 kg), Vadim Zelenov (67.5 kg), Bora Guner (140 kg) and Surat Pirnazarov (125 kg) took the first place.
