At the initiative of the Association of Sports Organizations of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan (AHITA), a meeting dedicated to cooperation issues between AHITA and the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation was held at the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation.
Idman.biz reports that during the meeting, a broad exchange of views was held on the development of cycling within the trade union structures, attracting young people to sports, organizing joint events, implementing awareness projects, and future cooperation prospects.
Touching upon the issues discussed at the meeting, the director of AHITA IB, Tural Gasimov, said that cycling is not only a sport but also an important tool in promoting a healthy and ecological lifestyle: "As AHITA, we consider the implementation of joint projects with the federation extremely important."
The Vice-President of the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation, Fikret Huseynov, emphasizing the importance of the meeting, said that they are always open to cooperation with public organizations: "Negotiations with AHITA in this direction will allow for wider promotion of cycling in the future."
During the event, a preliminary agreement was reached on the preparation of a joint action plan between the two organizations, and the next steps to be taken to implement joint projects based on mutual interests and to ensure that cooperation becomes continuous were discussed.
