Barcelona head coach Hans-Dieter Flick complained about the match schedule.
GOL.az reports that he said at the press conference held before the match against Celta in the 32nd round of La Liga:
"Do you know how many games we have played in recent weeks? Do you know that we also play late at night against Real Valladolid? We arrive very late, maybe the players go to bed at four or five in the morning. I don't want to make excuses. But this is happening here and I have never encountered anything like this. Every league protects its clubs in the Champions League, especially in the semi-final stage. This is an incredible thing.
We don't have time to rest. I want to look at the faces of the people who make these decisions. Because they have no idea how this works. They have no understanding.
Every federation – Bundesliga, Premier League, etc. – takes care of its clubs, but this is not the case with us. They just think: "Let them play, let them come back at five or six o'clock". We only had a chance to sleep four hours. This is incredible. This harms the overall Spanish football".
