The first world humanoid robot games, where modern technologies are tested in a competition format adapted from sports intended for humans, have started in Beijing, the capital of China.
İdman.biz reports that at the opening ceremony of the event, Chinese artists performed with humanoid robots, presenting dances, martial arts, musical instrument performances, and examples from Chinese opera.
The competitions are held at the indoor skating stadium in Beijing Olympic Park. 280 teams from 16 countries are participating in the games: 192 of them represent universities, and 88 represent private companies. The competitions will last for 3 days, and the robots will demonstrate their skills in 26 different categories.
The program includes both sports - running, long jump, free movements, football, and tasks aimed at developing practical skills. These include material processing, drug sorting, and cleaning in various conditions.
