Vafa Musayeva, the first Azerbaijani woman climber to conquer Mount Everest, has returned to her homeland.
İdman.biz reports that she was greeted by her relatives and media representatives at Heydar Aliyev International Airport.
Vafa Musayeva stated that she had been thinking about conquering Mount Everest for 8 years and had been preparing very seriously for it for the last two years. It took her 35 days to conquer Mount Everest. She also talked about her experiences and impressions on the way to the summit. According to Vafa Musayeva, there was a slightly scary moment, but she managed to overcome it.
The climber who conquered Everest descended to a camp located at an altitude of 7900-8000 meters. After that, she decided to conquer the second peak. Thus, she also climbed the summit of Mount Lhotse, which is 8,516 m high, and for the 2nd time in 3 days conquered a height of more than 8,000 meters.
The climber emphasized that her family and relatives supported her on the way to conquer this peak.
