The 9th meeting of the Youth and Sports Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) was held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.
Idman.Biz reports that our country was represented at the event by a delegation led by the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Farid Gayibov.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister Farid Gayibov gave detailed information about the cooperation in the field of youth work and sports within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States during the past year. Farid Gayibov especially emphasized the important initiatives implemented by Azerbaijan - contributions to youth climate action, sports diplomacy and the development of the sports volunteer movement.
During the event, the participants discussed future cooperation directions within the OTS and supported new initiatives for the implementation of joint projects.
It should be noted that an expert meeting was also held to prepare for the 9th meeting of the OTS Youth and Sports Ministers in order to organize cooperation more effectively. At the meeting, our country was represented by Elnur Mammadov, Head of the Sports Department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and Zarifa Zulfugarova, Head of the International Relations Department.
