On December 6, the Minister of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan, Farid Gayibov, received Mohamed Abdulkadiri, the Minister of Youth and Sports of Somalia, who was a special guest of the D-8 Youth Dialogue in Baku.

During the meeting, the possibilities of expanding cooperation between the two countries in the field of youth policy and sports were discussed.

The minister, speaking about the steps taken in our country towards the development of youth, said:
"Numerous youth centers have been created in our country, and various youth organizations are operating. We are also active in international youth organizations. We have organized various international events this year. Next year, we will hold large events supported by the UN. This is a great opportunity for us. We combine and reconcile youth initiatives and ideas around COP29 through this. Young people have great energy. I am sure that young people will actively participate in the D-8 Youth Dialogue as well."
