The Azerbaijan Cycling Federation organized a cycling race among representatives of the Mass Media (KİV) on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Azerbaijani national press.
Idman.biz reports that about 40 media representatives demonstrated their physical fitness and interest in sports at the event held in Velopark.
First, semi-final runs were held and the finalists were determined. In the decisive stage, Nazila Ahmadova (Real TV) became the winner of the race among women, surpassing all her rivals. Aysu Haqverdiyeva (Baku TV) took 2nd place, and Vusala Said took 3rd place. Among men, Feyruz Rahimov (CBC TV) climbed to the highest step of the podium. Abbas Nasirov (Baku TV) and Umid Suleymanov (Idman TV) took 2nd and 3rd places, respectively.
The awards to the media representatives who distinguished themselves in the competition were presented by the president of the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation, Zaur Akhundov. All participants of the event were given commemorative certificates.
The event also included the presentation of the new uniform of the Azerbaijani national cycling team.
