A new page is being opened in the sports history of Azerbaijan.
Idman.Biz reports that the Baku Marathon, organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, will host the first-ever full marathon distance race – 42 kilometers – under the slogan "Conquer the Wind" on May 3, 2026.
This historic sporting event, in which Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov will also be among the honorary participants, is of great interest to both professional athletes and running enthusiasts.
This race is not only a test of endurance and will but also one of the biggest steps taken to promote a healthy lifestyle in the country.
Note that the marathon will start on May 3 at 10:00 AM from the National Flag Square. The finish point is Sea Breeze.
