The U-15 and Youth European Weightlifting Championships are ongoing in Madrid, the capital of Spain.
Idman.biz reports that Musab Mammadtaghiyev, one of the Azerbaijani athletes, joined the competition on the second day.
Competing in the 56 kg weight category in the U-15 category, our representative won a gold medal with a result of 93 kg in the snatch. Musab also performed successfully in the clean and jerk. This time, he lifted 109 kg above his head and won a silver medal.
Thus, our athlete, who scored 202 kg in the total of two movements, won the title of European champion.
