The Tetris World Championship was held for the first time in history in Dubai, and an Azerbaijani representative also participated in this competition.
According to Idman.Biz, the final of the "Red Bull" world tournament was organized in a unique format: the game screen served as the famous Dubai Frame, measuring 150x93 meters, and the figures were formed by approximately 4000 drones with changing lighting.
Azerbaijan was represented in the world final by Elnur Jalilov, who won the national stage, and he was a participant in one of the most technologically and visually appealing sports shows of the year.
Before the world final, more than 7 million games were played in total in the qualifying stages and national finals in 60 countries.
In the 10-minute grand final, the victory was won by 19-year-old student Fahmi Atalar from Turkey, who prevailed over Peruvian representative Leo Solorsano.
