The training camp of our national cycling teams, consisting of different age groups, held in Gadabay, has concluded.
Idman.biz reports that during the camp held at an altitude of 1500-1700 meters above sea level, our athletes improved their professional levels in theoretical and practical exercises and training.
At the event held regarding the results of the training camp, the 1st vice-president of the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation, Sahib Alakbarov, stated that the AzVIF leadership pays special attention to increasing the preparation of the national team members. The nature and geographical conditions of the Gadabay region allowed cyclists to train on various types of routes. In particular, high-altitude routes had a positive effect on the physical preparation of athletes, which is extremely important for the preparation of our national team members for the World Championship in Rwanda in September and the European Championship in France in October.
During the event, a video reflecting the progress of the training camp was shown, reports from the management, medical, and technical staff were heard, and relevant instructions were given regarding issues to be taken into account in future training camps regarding the questions that arose.
