At the General Assembly of the International Ski Journalists Club (The Ski Club of International Journalists SCIJ), held in the "Valle de Boi Taull" Mountain Resort in Spain, the Azerbaijan Ski Journalists Club was elected as the 33rd full member of the international association.

The Azerbaijan Ski Journalists Club gained the unanimous support of nearly 100 media representatives from 23 countries attending the event and has become part of a broad international platform bringing together journalists interested in skiing worldwide.
Established in 2024 with the support of the Winter Sports Federation and the "Shahdag" Tourism Center, the Azerbaijan Ski Journalists Club currently has 7 members who are employees of local television channels and information websites.
The main goal of the club's establishment is to gather local media representatives who can ski around it, support their professional development as skiers, as well as participate in meetings organized by the International Ski Journalists Club annually among media representatives in various countries, participate in ski competitions within the club, including representing Azerbaijan on this platform, ensuring its recognition and positive image formation among foreign media representatives.
The club plans to attract more journalists to its ranks in the coming period and contribute to the development of skiing journalism in the country.
It should be noted that the International Ski Club of Journalists, founded in 1955, currently has about 1000 members from 33 countries, including Azerbaijan, who write about tourism, economics, sports, social issues, politics and a number of other topics. To date, the International Club has organized trips to 74 ski resorts around the world and held various meetings in 23 countries.
