A meeting of the Collegium of the Ministry of Youth and Sports was held.

It was reported that a number of issues were discussed and relevant decisions were made at the meeting chaired by Minister Farid Gayibov, based on the agenda.
At the meeting, a decision was made regarding the approval of the regulations governing the training process in judo in Children-Youth Sports Schools and Specialized Olympic Reserves Children-Youth Sports Schools. In addition, the issue of awarding honorary titles to sports specialists was considered. By the decision of the Ministry's Collegium, Askhab Kalayev and Rauf Nabiyev (both weightlifting), Islam Najafguliyev (judo) were awarded the "National Category Judge" degree. Gashim Magomedov (taekwondo), Imamaddin Khalilov and Sabir Zeynalov (both parataekwondo) were awarded the honorary title of "Honored Master of Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan".
The requirements put forward by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan regarding the preparation of the Rules on Ensuring a Safe Environment and Protecting Personality by the Republican Federations were discussed. At the same time, the Technical Regulations regarding the rules for holding national competitions were approved in a new edition.
At the event, presentations of candidates for the selection of "Sports Ambassadors" for 2026 and "Sports Capital" for 2027 were heard and a vote was held. By the decision of the Collegium of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ulviyya Fataliyeva (chess), Vafa Musayeva (mountaineering), Aynur Yusifova (gymnastics), Dadash Dadashbeyli (weightlifting) and Elchin Asadov (cycling) were selected as "Sports Ambassadors" for 2026. The city of Yevlakh was selected as the "Sports Capital" of Azerbaijan for 2027.
