11-year-old biathlete injures peer's eye in Kamchatka

One of the children was seriously injured during shooting practice at a biathlon complex in the Kamchatka Territory of Russia.

Idman.biz reports with reference to "Kamchatinfo" that an 11-year-old girl injured the eye area of her peer by firing from a pneumatic rifle.

The child's right eye was seriously injured during training.

The Kamchatka Territory Prosecutor's Office is investigating the incident and assessing the actions of those responsible for safety measures during training.
