Idman.biz's correspondent in Germany reports that our female epee fencers Aynur Guliyeva (4 wins) and Nazila Rahimova (3 wins) successfully passed the group stage and advanced to the playoffs.
Khadija Hasanli, who had 1 victory in the group, stopped competing. Nazila Rahimova lost to Polina Khaertdinova, who participated as a neutral athlete, with a score of 13:15 in the match for the right to advance to the strongest "32". Aynur Guliyeva lost to Belgian Anne Lieve Bultink with a score of 12:15.
Our female epee fencers will compete in the team competition on July 20.
In the individual competition of male sabre fencers, Maqsud Huseynli, Saleh Mammadov and Murad Akbarov tested their strength. Murad Akbarov, who finished the group stage with one victory, stopped competing early. Saleh Mammadov, who had 3 victories, lost to Australian representative Arnav Raja with a score of 13:15 in the playoffs.
