Croatian Zlatko Dalić has been appointed as the new head coach of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) national team. According to Sport24.az, the local federation's press service has released information about this.
Some time ago, it was reported that the 59-year-old expert would be coaching one of the UAE clubs for a salary of 5 million per year.
Dalić left the Croatian national team in July, which he had been coaching since 2017. Under his leadership, the team reached the final of the 2018 World Cup and won a bronze medal at the 2022 World Cup. In the 2026 World Cup, the Croatians stopped competing in the 1/16 finals.
Note that the previous head coach of the UAE national team, Cosmin Olăroiu, left his post in May and took over as the coach of Al-Jazira.
