Azerbaijani judoka Zelim Tckayev has valued the bronze medal he won at the World Championships in Hungary.
"Report" reports that the national team member spoke about this to the press service of the Judo Federation.
"My impressions are great. I am very happy and glad. This medal is very valuable to me. For me, it is equal to a gold medal. Because this is the first medal I have won at the World Championships. We developed a plan with the coaches and it worked successfully. I think we did a good job. The match for the bronze medal went well and I won. I had the opportunity to win in the semi-finals. But that's how it turned out. It happened that my opponent surpassed me."
He stated that he wants to win a gold medal at the World Championships to be held in Baku next year:
"Next year, the World Championship will be held in Baku, and I will evaluate all opportunities to win a gold medal. The Federation leadership congratulated me and supported me as always. I dedicate the victory to my family and Azerbaijan. Because they have given me everything."
