Azerbaijani judoka Zelim Tckayev (81 kg) won a bronze medal at the World Championships held in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.
"Report" informs that the athlete defeated Nuqzari Tatalashvili, representing the UAE, in the fight for third place.
Thus, Azerbaijan won its first medal at the World Championships.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan is represented at the World Championships by 13 judokas (9 men, 4 women) in 10 weight categories in individual competitions. Our national team will also compete in the mixed team competition.
