Today, one Azerbaijani judoka will compete in the individual competition of the World Championship held in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.
"Report" reports that Zelim Tckayev (81 kg) will step onto the tatami.
He will face the winner of the Pavel Jimal (Poland) / Qiangnan Wang (China) pair in the 1/16 finals.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan is represented by 13 judokas (9 men, 4 women) in 10 weight categories in individual competitions at the World Cup. Our national team will also compete in the mixed team competition. Our judokas have not yet won a medal in the tournament.
