Azerbaijani judoka Zelim Tckaev has reached the semifinals of the Grand Slam series tournament held in Paris.
Idman.Biz reports that in the 1/4 final match, our representative defeated Tajik athlete Abubakr Sherov.
In the previous stages of the competition, Tckaev won confidently over Jiangnan Wang from China, and then defeated British representative Lachlan Moorhead.
In the semi-finals, the opponent of the Azerbaijani judoka will be Kazakh athlete Abulaykhan Jubanazar.
It should be noted that our representatives Ushangi Kokauri, Kenan Nasibov and Ajdar Bagirov (100 kg), who performed in the +100 kg weight categories, were defeated in the 1/8 finals and stopped the fight. Also, Vusal Galandarzade, who competed in the 81 kg weight category, could not advance to the next stage.

At 100 kg, Ajdar Bagirov will clarify relations with Denis Cedric Nguessa Bekai, representing the Central African Republic.
In the heavyweight division, two of our representatives will compete. Ushangi Kokauri will face German athlete Marvin Belz, and Kenan Nasibov will face Austrian judoka Stefan Hegyi.
