I am happy to have won a bronze medal.
According to "Report", Azerbaijani judoka Zelim Kotsoiev (100 kg), who won a bronze medal at the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary, told reporters.
He said he lost in the 1/4 finals because of his own mistake:
"I came to Hungary to win a gold medal. But because of my own mistake, I lost on the way to the semifinals. There was complacency during the match. This was one of the reasons for the defeat. I am glad that I did not finish the World Cup without a prize."
It should be noted that Kotsoiev, who is an Olympic champion, defeated Spanish representative Nikoloz Sherazadishvili in the consolation match. In the match for third place, our representative, who defeated South Korean Kim Seheon with an ippon, won the bronze medal of the World Cup.
