Our national team has completed its performance at the World Judo Championships among veterans held in Paris, the capital of France.
Idman.Biz reports that our only female representative, Zulfiyya Huseynova, became the world champion in the F6 age category on the last day of the competition.
Our judoka, who competed in the 70 kg weight category, defeated Briton Simone Strong with an ippon in the final.
It should be noted that earlier Movlud Miraliyev (M5, -100 kg) won gold, Farhad Rajabli (M8, -90 kg) silver, Gurban Mammadli (M2, +100 kg), Vugar Babayev (M3, -66 kg), Zaur Bagirov (M4, +100 kg) and Azer Asgarov (M6, (-100 kg) won bronze medals.
In the end, our team completed the World Cup with a total of 7 medals, including 2 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze.
