The World Judo Championship continues in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.
Idman.biz reports that another athlete from the Azerbaijani national team has joined the competition on the sixth day of the tournament.

Zelim Kotsoiev (100 kg), who was exempt from the first stage, defeated Gennaro Pirelli (Italy) in the 1/16 finals, followed by Marat Baykamurov (Kazakhstan). Our Olympic champion faced Arman Adamyan (IJF) in the 1/4 finals. Since his opponent won, Kotsoiev will participate in the repechage. His opponent will be Nikolos Sherazadishvili (Spain).
It should be noted that Zelim Tckaev (81 kg) and Eljan Hajiyev (90 kg) have already won bronze medals in the World Championship as part of our national team.
