Azerbaijani judoka Zelim Kotsoiev (100 kg) won a bronze medal at the World Championships held in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.
According to "Report", the Olympic champion, who lost in the 1/4 finals, defeated Spanish representative Nikoloz Sherazadishvili in the consolation match.
In the match for third place, Kotsoiev defeated South Korean Kim Seheon with an ippon and won the bronze medal of the world championship.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan is represented at the World Championships by 13 judokas (9 men, 4 women) in 10 weight categories in individual competitions. Our national team will also compete in the mixed team competition.
