Idman.biz reports that 2 more athletes of the Azerbaijani national team will compete on the second day of the World Championship.
World Championship
Men
66 kg
Ruslan Pashayev (66 kg), who started the fight from the 1/32 finals, defeated Ronald Lima (Brazil) in his first match. He will hold his second meeting against Italian Matteo Pirasa.
Women
52 kg
Gultaj Mammadaliyeva will wrestle with Sofia Asvesta (Cyprus) in the 1/32 finals.
It should be noted that our national team, which went to the competition with 13 judokas, finished the first day without medals. Ahmad Yusifov (60 kg), Leyla Aliyeva and Konul Aliyeva (both 48 kg) suffered defeats. Our team will also compete in the World Cup in the mixed team competition.
