The World Judo Championship continues in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.
Idman.biz reports that two more athletes of the Azerbaijani national team joined the competition today.

Vugar Talibov wrestled with Luka Maisuradze (Georgia) in the 1/32 final and was defeated.
Eljan Hajiyev, who was exempt from the first stage, defeated Nurbek Murtuzoyev (Uzbekistan) in the 1/16 final. He defeated Peng-Yu Chen (Chinese Taipei) in his second match. Hajiyev faced Adam Kopeski (Czech Republic) in the 1/4 final and emerged victorious from this duel as well. Eljan clarified his relationship with Japanese Goki Tajima in the semi-finals. Unfortunately, he could not continue the successful series. Hajiyev fought Kristofer Kalyulaid (Estonia) for the bronze medal. Our judoka, who performed confidently, won and took third place on the podium.
This was the second medal for the Azerbaijani national team at the World Championship.
It should be noted that Zelim Tckaev (81 kg) has already won a bronze medal in our team at the World Championship.
