Another Azerbaijani junior judoka has won a bronze medal at the World Championships held in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria.
According to the information of the "Report" employee sent to the tournament, Zeyd Alasgarov (60 kg) won the bronze award.
He defeated Japanese representative Toai Hashima in the match for third place.
Today, Royal Gayibov (60 kg) lost in the 1/32 final. Narmin Aghamirzazade (48 kg) lost in the first match, which coincided with the 1/16 final.
Aysun Mammadova (52 kg) and Leyla Alakbarova (48), who started the competition from the 1/32 final, had to reconcile with the defeat in the 1/8 final.
It should be noted that six Azerbaijani judokas joined the fight yesterday. Anar Guliyev (50 kg) won a bronze medal.
Individual competition in the tournament will end on August 30. On August 31, a mixed team competition will be held.
