The World Judo Championship continues in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.
İdman.biz reports that 2 more athletes of the Azerbaijani national team competed on the second day of the World Cup. Both judokas finished their performances early.

Men
66 kg
Ruslan Pashayev (66 kg), who started the fight from the 1/32 finals, defeated Ronald Lima (Brazil) in his first match. He had his second match against Italian Matteo Pirasa and won this duel as well. Pashayev tested his strength with Takeshi Takeoka (Japan) in the 1/8 finals. Since the opponent won, our representative said goodbye to the World Cup.

52 kg
Gultaj Mammadaliyeva lost to Sofia Asvesta (Cyprus) in the 1/32 finals.
It should be noted that our national team, which went to the competition with 13 judokas, finished the first day without medals. Ahmad Yusifov (60 kg), Leyla Aliyeva and Konul Aliyeva (both 48 kg) were defeated. Our team will also compete in the World Cup in the mixed team competition.
