Regional championships for judoists aged 14 and 17 were held in the Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur regions.
"Report" reports that 42 judokas from Agjabadi, Agdam, Barda, Tartar, and Lachin competed in the tournament.
The winners and prize-winners in 9 weight categories were determined at the competition held at the Agdam Olympic Sports Complex.
It should be noted that the purpose of holding regional championships is to form a base of young judokas and to determine athletes who will participate in the national championship based on quotas. Also, the U-17 championships provide important ranking points for selection to the national team.
