Vusal Galandarzade, representing our country in the 81 kg weight category at the Upper Austria Grand Prix judo tournament held in Linz, has reached the final.
Idman.Biz reports that Galandarzade defeated Finnish Ihanamaki by ippon in the semi-final.
Our other athlete, Omar Rajabli, competing in the 81 kg weight category, defeated Yahya Nurkovic from Montenegro in the consolation match, gaining a chance to compete for a bronze medal.
Earlier, in the ¼ final, Rajabli lost to Adilet Almata from Kazakhstan. Galandarzade defeated Serbian Mihajlo Simin in the quarter-final stage.

V.Galandarzade will start the competition from the 1/32 final stage. His opponent will be Takahiro Yamashina representing Japan.
O.Rajabli will join the fight from the 1/16 final stage. He will face the winner of the match between US athlete Johan Silot and Hungarian representative Benedek Tot.
