The results show that Azerbaijani karate fighters have a high level of training in the international arena.
This was stated by Vusal Abdullazade, assistant to the president of the Azerbaijan Karate Federation, in an interview with "Report".
Speaking about the "Olympic Hopes" international karate tournament held in Mingachevir, the federation official said that the level of preparation of the athletes is high:
"The results show that Azerbaijani karate fighters have a high level of training in the international arena. A lot of work has been done to organize the tournament at a high level. Today, a sports festival took place in Mingachevir. Organizational work thought out to the smallest detail created a comfortable and safe environment for karate fighters and spectators. I would like to especially emphasize the work of the federation's professional team here."
Touching upon the activities of the AKF, V.Abdullazade especially emphasized the attention and care shown by the leadership to sports:
"As a federation, we always take development, transparency and professionalism as a basis. In this area, the projects implemented under the leadership of the President of the Azerbaijan Karate Federation, Ulvi Guliyev, the systematic activities of the Board of Directors and the dedication of the professional team open up great opportunities for our athletes. It is thanks to this unity and coordinated work that Azerbaijani karate is successfully represented in the international arena."
It should be noted that a total of 300 athletes, children, teenagers and young people competed in the tournament, which was preparatory for the III CIS Games. In the team standings, Azerbaijan took first place, Turkey second, and Kuwait third.
