Azerbaijani athletes have started competing at the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam judo tournament, which is being held in the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi.
Idman.Biz reports that Ushangi Kokauri, competing in the +100 kg weight category, defeated his Croatian opponent Mikita Svirid with a waza-ari in the first match and qualified for the 1/4 finals.
Our representative will face Irakli Demetrashvili (Georgia) in this stage.
It should be noted that today in the 1/16 finals, our athletes Murad Fatiyev and Aslan Kotsoev in the -90 kg weight category will face Alyaksandr Sidorik and Yermaxan Anuarbekov, respectively.
