US team wins the world championship

The US national hockey team has won the world championship for the 3rd time in its history.

Idman.biz reports that the Americans defeated the Swiss team 1-0 in overtime of the final, which ended goalless in regulation time.

The match for 3rd place between the hosts of the World Championship - Denmark and Sweden - ended with a 6:2 victory for the Swedes.
