Aydan Veliyeva (52 kg) defeated Seynih Kunu from Cambodia in her first match, and then Lea Beres from France, to advance to the semifinals.
Konul Aliyeva (48 kg) started the competition with a defeat - she lost to Helena Habiba from Germany in her first match.
Babarahim Mirzayev (60 kg) won against Igor Blashaka from Poland in the first match, but lost to Yamada Fukuda from Japan in the next stage.
Nazir Talibov (66 kg) won against Etnaison Sent-Hilar from Haiti, but later lost to Ukrainian Mikita Goloborodko.
