The regional championships among U-14 and U-17 juniors in the Northern region will be held on September 12–13. Sport24.az reports that judokas from Gusar, Guba, Khachmaz, Shabran and Siyazan will compete in the tournaments.
The purpose of the competitions is to form a base of junior judokas and to determine the athletes who will participate in the national championship based on quotas. Also, the U-17 championships will earn important ranking points for selection to the national team.
The competitions will be held at the Khachmaz Olympic Sports Complex.
