Judo fighter Turan Bayramov, silver medalist of the "Grand Slam" tournament held in Tbilisi, has significantly improved his position in the world ranking.
According to Idman.Biz, the International Judo Federation has updated the rankings after the competition. Bayramov (66 kg) moved up 113 places to 56th place with 860 points.
Olympic champion Hidayat Heydarov (73 kg) also strengthened his position. After winning a bronze medal at the tournament, he moved up three places and is currently fourth with 3836 points.
Olympic champion Zelim Kotsoiev (100 kg) remains the best performing among Azerbaijani judokas, holding second place with 5238 points. Meanwhile, Balabay Aghayev (60 kg) dropped one place and is currently third with 4115 points.
