Azerbaijani judoka Turan Bayramov (66 kg) commented on his success at the European Championship held in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia.
According to the correspondent of Idman.Biz dispatched to Georgia, the judoka emphasized in his statement to journalists that he considers this result very successful for himself. Bayramov noted that his inclusion in the team for the continental championship happened suddenly: "In fact, my invitation to the national team came at the last moment. I was included in the team because my teammate Ruslan Pashayev was injured."
Turan Bayramov, who said that Georgia has always been a successful place for him, recalled that he had previously won a bronze medal at the "Grand Slam" tournament held here. He also did not hide his potential to achieve higher results: "This time I could have taken first place, but the mistake I made prevented me from winning the gold medal."
It should be reminded that Turan Bayramov became a prize-winner of the European Championship, defeating Russian representative Abdullah Parchiev in a tense match for third place.
