At the Training and Training Center of the National Judo Teams, "koshi-waza" and "osaekomi-waza" techniques were taught to the 2nd year part-time students majoring in judo coaching at the Azerbaijan Sports Academy.
Idman.biz reports that the lessons were led by Professor Mike Callen of the University of Hertfordshire, Great Britain.
At the end of the three-day intensive course, an exam was organized. Local experts - Orkhan Safarov, Samir Ismayilov and employees of the Azerbaijan Sports Academy participated in the exam process.
It should be noted that the lessons were carried out within the framework of a tripartite memorandum of cooperation signed between the Azerbaijan Judo Federation, the Azerbaijan Sports Academy and the University of Hertfordshire, Great Britain. Students gained both theoretical knowledge and developed their practical skills based on a training program that meets international coaching standards.
