Taekwondo Club named after Martyr Ulvu Mammadov has started operating in Alekseyevka village of Guba region.

It was reported that the founder and director of the "Ulvu" taekwondo club is Emil Tahmazov, the 3rd dan black belt in taekwondo, coach-teacher of Guba IOEUGISM.
The club has two assistant coaches and 50 athletes.
The club's taekwondo players have achieved high results in Azerbaijani championships and have also participated in world championships. This sports center aims to perpetuate the dear memory of our martyr and to raise young people in a patriotic spirit.
It should be noted that Martyr Ulvu Mammadov was born on July 29, 1997 in Alekseyevka village. In 2015-2017, he served in the Azerbaijan Armed Forces. He participated in the battles in the direction of Fuzuli, Jabrayil and Khojavend during the 2020 Patriotic War and was heroically martyred in the battles of Khojavend on October 21, 2020. By the order of President Ilham Aliyev, he was awarded the medals "For the Motherland", "For the Liberation of Fuzuli", "For the Liberation of Jabrayil", "For the Liberation of Khojavend". The street where Ulvu Mammadov lived in Alekseyevka village was named after him.
